Went with a party of 7 and was lucky enough to be able to snag 2 tables next to each other and push them together. Our server was very kind and gave us a free appetizer. The baklava was to die for! Would eat here again.

Best Mediterranean food in town! And not to mention service was on par. We've been to the other location in Rocklin (but since been closed) and was very impressed with the lentil soup that was served with the dish. Flavorful and perfect on a cold day. Food and service is solid. Our server gave us the baklava at end of our meal and was so good and not too sweet. Also glad the baklava didn't have any walnuts (allergic) as that is the standard ingredient. Overall, now understand why this place was top 100 restaurants in the country! So good and had a great experience! Def will stop by when we are in the area! Yummy!!!! Well deserved 5 stars! Top notch food and service! Supporting local business!

I've been to the other location in Emeryville And it wasn't memorable to me. The one in Rocklin is much better. Had the dolmas: 5/5 goodness! Had the falalfels: not a big fan of falafels but they are very here and perfectly fried Also have tried the chicken schwarma. It's very good here with salad, toum and tsahtziki sauces that are excellent. Each dish comes with complimentary lentil soup and a baklava dessert. All very fresh. Drove 80 miles to see if it was worth the hype. Was not disappointed. Everything tasted fresh and the service was very friendly and reliable.

This was an all-around amazing dining experience. The food was off the charts good. The portion sizes were enormous. And the service could not be beat . We started with a complimentary bowl of lentil soup. Things only got better from there. I had the chicken shawarma. My friend had the lamb and beef shawarma. We ordered a cheese vegetable appetizer that was huge, and it even got bigger when the owner / waiter gave us a refill on the vegetables and on the pita bread. The price was right. The dining room immaculate. The parking convenient.

Alright, Wally's is pretty hype. They are a pretty unassuming casual Mediterranean joint that is surprisingly spacious with two separated rooms. We sat down and were able to order through someone, who kindly gave us each a free small bowl of lentil soup that tasted so delicious. It was quiet inside with a few tables of regulars, though they had a steady stream of takeout orders. - Beef & Lamb Gyros Wrap (add onion rings) I think these are the best onion rings I've ever had? They were so good with the ranch (which I didn't know was a typical combination as my partner pointed out to me). They had a hard crispy crunch and I wanted to order some more. The gyro wrap was packed with well chopped veggies inside - just a typical good gyro. - Combo Plate (lamb kabob and chicken pomegranate) You get to pick two meats for the combo plate, which also comes with associated sauces, pita bread, salad, and rice pilaf. This is definitely shareable between two people with a lighter appetite, as I ended up taking home most of it as leftovers. The chicken shawarma smothered in pomegranate molasses was too sweet for my preference, and unfortunately too dry. The lamb kabob was great, flavorful, and cooked perfectly medium on the rarer side. The tzatziki and garlic sauces were both tasty and thick. I've had better rice, as this one was maybe a bit too dried out, though it still had flavor. The salad was pretty fresh with a mild sweet vinaigrette; it would have been better with some more lemon, but I liked their manageable cuts of romaine, tomato, and some healthy spring mix. The ample amount of pita bread they included came in a plastic bag, and were hot with a thin fluffiness to them. When we got the bill, we were also brought a small piece each of their homemade baklava. I don't typically enjoy this dessert for its sticky sweetness, but I fell in love with their baklava. It's just the right amount of subtle sweetness from the honey, very fresh in its crispy and flaky filo dough, a perfect size and ratio of crushed pistachios, and had a straight from the oven taste. I actually wanted to buy a pan full of baklava, as it's ultimately what made me decide on my rating for Wally's. For a generous Mediterranean place, they have reasonable prices, tasty and healthy food, and absolutely amazing lentil soup and baklava.

SERVICE: table side, fast and so nice! AMBIANCE: clean and open FLAVORS: basically licked the plates clean! I hope they never change Falafel (5/5) - I've been really disappointed by several Mediterranean places serving these mass produced hockey pucks so I'm SO HAPPY WALLY'S has filled my craving! Lamb kabob plate (5/5) - we asked for it on the rare side PORTIONS: filling and hearty PRICE: appropriate

Genuinely the best mediterranean food I've ever had, the super tall younger guy who served us was sooo kind and attentive too. We ordered the beef shawarma, lamb kabobs, falafel, and hummus. The meal also came with lentil soup and baklava at the end. The food was a massive portion, best falafel I've had in my life. Lamb kabobs was very good albeit a bit chewy. The beef shawarma was well seasoned and tender. Glad that they have a location in the bay as I'll definitely be back.

Found Wally's Cafe on a Yelp search and was not disappointed! Wally the Owner went above and beyond to assist me with my Lunch & Learn. I needed one Halal full course meal for a designer by 12 P.M. and Wally opened his restaurant early to prep the lunch and have ready for pick up by 10:30 A.M.! The Designer stated she was impressed and enjoyed every dish. Thank you Wally for making the whole design team happy with that one meal. Thank you for your customer service, patience with my questions and for educating me. ** the one designer has a special diet and I wanted to cater to her diet as opposed to getting a veggie plate/salad. So when the original catering service arrived to set the food, the designer seen her Halal lunch set and had a huge smile. That's what Foodie Life's about! That YELP LIFE! Helping fill stomachs with great food one bite at a time! Thanks again Wally

Ronnie and his staff were amazing! Upbeat personalities with an eagerness to help customers is what I'm talkin' about! My party of 2 stopped here for a quick dinner, and it hit the spot!! I'll never turn down a good Mediterranean/Greek/Middle Eastern meal, especially if gyro meat is involved! SFS knows this, lol!! The restaurant has a separate dining area, and the counter is convenient for to-go orders. We both ordered the Beef & Lamb Gyros Wrap, and we chose Onion Rings and Extra Crispy Fries to go with them. Most places shave the gyro meat thin, but here the cut is slightly thicker, and I'm not mad about it! We enjoyed the Lentil Soup, which had a really great flavor. It was not bland at all. The Gyro Wraps were perfect and very fresh. They accommodated my request to cut mine in half, as I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it since I ordered the O rings, too. We loved everything from start to finish. The complimentary Baklava was the ONLY way to end the meal. It had a slightly sweet crunch, and the perfect size, which is all we needed. Ronnie and I chatted for a bit, and he is at this location temporarily to help out. I told him to hurry home to Orange County and open up a Wally's!! I'll be regular, lol. You need to hit up Wally's Cafe if you want a classic Mediterranean meal with an excellent staff. I am a lifer!!
